It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. JM Rabie, who passed away on Sunday, 23 February 2025. Dr. Jeanne – Marie Rabie was part of the “Midvaal Family” for more than 20 years and she will be deeply missed by everyone at Midvaal Private Hospital. Dr. Rabie was a General Practitioner who dedicated her life to helping others. She was passionate about her work and always put her patients first. She was a kind and compassionate person and a dedicated doctor who made a difference in the lives of many people.
We, the Midvaal Private Hospital family, extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. JM Rabie.

Midvaal Private Hospital (www.mphmidvaal.com) is a private company which was established in December of 1996. In 1999 it was acquired by mainly medical doctors and a few businessmen of the area. Over the years the hospital has flexed it mussels and grew steadily to where it is today. Currently the hospital is licenced for 134 beds and consists of 6 different buildings. The hospital is managed by the Hospital Manager who reports directly to the Board of Directors. Midvaal offers a wide range of specialities that includes Cardiothoracic and General Surgery to mention a few.
The vision of the hospital has always been to offer quality medical care to the community it serves while incorporating the newest technologies, appointing professional, energetic and dynamic staff as well as to adhere and comply with the National Health Act.
